Terms and Conditions
Between therapy sessions I can be contacted between the hours of 9:00am and 7:00pm by email or by telephone (07818 591350). Contact received outside these hours will be responded to the next working day. Contact may also be made via my Facebook page.
Therapy sessions will take place at my studio in Ashley Heath, Ringwood, or online via Zoom video conferencing.
You will be advised fully of the scope of hypnotherapy and give your full consent to receiving hypnotherapy sessions. Hypnotherapy is not a replacement for medical treatment, psychological/psychiatric services or counselling. I am unable to prescribe for or diagnose any condition. Results from therapy vary and I am unable to guarantee any outcome.
For most people, hypnotherapy is a pleasant, gentle, and extremely safe experience. However, your safety is my number one concern and there are occasions where hypnosis would be contraindicated. That means there may be a risk. If you have any medical condition, please ask your doctor to give their approval before making a booking with me.
I cannot work with you if you have a diagnosis of:
● Pathological Personality Disorder
I may be able to work with you if you have epilepsy, narcolepsy, depression, asthma, or a heart condition, but I will require your doctor’s approval before any therapy can take place.
On occasion therapy involves the experience of seeming to remember a past event. It should be noted that any information remembered in this way has as much chance of being false as it does being based on an actual event. We will keep this kind of work to an absolute minimum.
During face-to-face therapy sessions there may be certain instances where is may be necessary for me to touch your hand, wrist, arm, forehead or shoulders to assist with the relaxation process. You give full permission and consent to this limited physical contact. If you would prefer me to work without physical contact please let me know at the beginning of the session.
Payment, Late Attendance & Cancellations
Payment for your session must be made in full at least 24 hours before your appointment.
Please arrive on time for your appointments. If you are late for any reason we will still need to finish at the allotted time.
Should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment please give a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. For cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, the full fee will be payable.
If you display any aspects of antisocial behaviour, or if you arrive for your session under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the session will be suspended and the full fee charged. I reserve the right to hold further sessions at my discretion.
Should you fail to attend your session I retain the right to withhold further treatment.
All therapy sessions are completely confidential unless I consider that you could be a danger to yourself or to others in which case disclosures will be kept to the bare minimum necessary for your protection and the protection any third party.
I may share details of your treatment sessions with my supervisors, but your name and personal data will not be used.
I will process your personal data for the purposes of maintaining my client list and contacting you in future. Your personal data will be kept for up to 7 years.
I may keep short notes from our sessions. These will be kept in secure, protected files at all times. Copies of any notes will be retained by me and are available to you upon reasonable notice. Notes will not be made available to any third party without a Court Order instructing me to release copies of those notes.
